I'd have to disagree with you guys about MMA. I have tons of them and they're all still good (I checked them recently). With the proper thinning with their own thinner, they spray and brush great. This entire carrier was painted with MMA.

Same here. I've got quite a bit of MMA and they're all still good. Never had an issue of them gelling up on me. Maybe it's because I keep them stored in a dry, cool basement and away from direct source of heat.

I've hand brushed them only on small areas with no issues too. Dry tip? A rarity for me since most of my airbrushing is done in my airbrush booth. If and when I do get dry tip, nothing but a dab of lacquer helps.

I guess in a controlled environment Model Master Acrylics have a longer shelf life. But my painting areas have been in garages with their wider temperature ranges since the mid 90s, so they don’t perform as well as other paints under those conditions.

I just opened a bottle of MMA OD, 34088, still had the aluminum seal, and it is still good after 20 years or more. However, I don't know what the best thinner is.

I use their own thinner with them.

I just ran a quick search for MM enamels on Amazon and many of their colors are available there. The prices seem to all run around $8-9 per bottle, with free shipping. Might be an option for replacing some bottles, for a while more anyway.

Personally I really like painting with enamels - and I actually really like the small, so much nostalgia - however the rest of the family hate it, which is why I went over to acrylic. Humbrol enamels are still good paints though, even if they have changed (not like their crappy acrylics though).

I always fancied trying MM paints, but you can't get them over here.

While I do have a good stock of MMA paints, I rarely use them. They're more for colors that I haven't gotten in the other lines of paint that I have.

I have a few bottles of MMA but not many. Never could get the hang of them. Most if what I have are the early war German colors RLM 61/62/63 etc.
