Italeri 1/48 Stuka G-2 Tank Buster

Post by Tojo72 »

I'm looking to get a 1/48 Stuka tank buster, anyone familiar with Italeri #2722 how does this compare with the old Hasegawa kit.

You could consider the newer Airfix kit.

Yeah, not sure if this is what you're looking for - a good kit though by all accounts.

I plead ignorance, I thought any version had a good chance against a tank, sorry.

The G-2 version had a podded 37mm gun mounted under each wing and its bomb racks removed.

Yea, really want to build that one with yhe cannons, but for now its a moot point, can't find the Italeri one anywhere, and the only other is the old Hasegawa kit.
Be nice to see a new one at some point as both are not real new.

The only other option out there in 148 is the old Monogram kit, and it’s Hobbycraft clones. I’m sure that if you hunt enough, you can turn up one of the newer kits Tony.
