My house is almost sold and I'll be moving in a month. I need to get everything packed up and ready and there is lots to do.
So I'll be packing my bench and all goodies naturally and that means I'll be focused on other things for quite a while. Not sure when I'll have the bench up and ready at the new house but I'll peek in from time to time to see how y'all are getting on.
The only things I won't be packing until the last minute are one guitar and my practice amplifier. I play 3-4 days a week to keep my metal chops up.
Here is my gear. I won't be playing through that Boogie. It gets packed up like the rest as I have a small combo for practice time.
Taking some time off.
Taking some time off.

Good to hear that you got a new house! Can't wait to see the new bench! Nice guitars too!

Re: Taking some time off.
Thanks all. I'm not moving far. This house belonged to my late father. My brothers and I are splitting it up and my brother Rick and his wife are buying my brother Scott and I out. It's a two family that my dad used as a one family and when he got sick I moved in upstairs and moved him down to the first floor. It's worth a considerable amount so i get a great payout towards my new place.
I have already made what looks like a good offer on a small house close by. It needs work as it hasn't been updated in many years but since it is small I'll have it in shape pretty quickly. The current owners had big plans that fell through and there are many brand new items which I find tasteful that go with it. I also get a GARAGE! My bike now has a place to be in the winter months and I get to do all the work I want to my Cavalier in a garage. I already have the supercharger for it and the suspension components so that is going to be fun. I may even paint it myself since there is room enough.
My girlfriend is going to move in [Finally] and who knows what will happen there. We are both divorced with no children and are career oriented. But the M word has been said more than once by us both. I can also have Mum's over since I don't have to bring her up a flight of stairs since she is in a wheelchair full time. I'll build a ramp in the back to bring her in. Mum's means more to me than anything and she is my priority until she is taken from us by the Lord. I also need to see about getting Mum's novel published. Just before her stroke she was putting the finishing touches on a fantasy novel that is a superior piece of writing. I'm well read in Fantasy and Sci Fi and it's really that good. It started back in the late 70's and she just got it finished 2 years ago and then the stroke hit. It's truly a masterwork and I should have no problems shopping it. But we have to have representation or all the publishers of note won't touch it no matter how good it may be. It's a funny world publishing and I'm learning a lot about it.
Sorry to go on. I had a few beers and am chatty once I have a buzz on...

No worries! We asked! Man, if I was closer, I’d come watch.

Re: Taking some time off.
Smooth sailing on the move. Who needs a house, the garage is the thing!
Re: Taking some time off.
That would have been nice. I know what I'm doing with cars and making power but another set of hands is always a good thing.LyleW wrote:No worries! We asked! Man, if I was closer, I’d come watch.
I think I'll turn in now. I finished the beer and am more than a little tipsy.

Re: Taking some time off.
Good luck on the move. I've done a bit of wrenching on the car my self. What kind/manufacturer is the supercharger? I've got a Procharger F-1A @ 14lbs in the Charger. Super fun and theres a lot more in it
Thanks,
John

Sounds like 2021 is going to be your year! Some great looking guitars too. Do you like the floyd rose bridge? I have one on my schecter hell raiser and ended up putting a block of wood in the back to block it.

Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
