Music hath charms

I was just wondering what we listen to as we model. I like CCM (Christian Contemporary Music) especially Aaron Shust and Brandon Lake.

What about you?

I listen to shows on Netflix. Last night I was playing arrested development. So funny. As for music I have a wide variety of tastes.
Thanks,

I mostly have a tv show or movie going that I've seen many times before so I don't get to distracted. Mostly the clone wars series. When I do listen to music when I build I got some metal playing, Amon Amarth, Slipknot, Megadeth, Lamb of God and this new band out of Russia called Slaughter to Prevail.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

I don't listen to music. I like my silence while working on the bench.

I will usually have no music on, but if I do it will likely be classical, Christian choral, big bands or gospel quartets. I find I get too wrapped up in the music.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast...

Modeling is about the only time I'm not really listening to music. I have no room for a stereo in my study and I don't have a smart phone. I can sometimes hear the music playing on my laptop but it's in another room and is only background noise in the study. But I do listen to music everyday (and rarely see any TV) and wonder how some people can go through life without listening to any really.

Last year for Father's Day, our daughter Ann gave me a "subscription" to a thing called Storyworth. For a year, I received a writing prompt each Monday; typical would be "what was your favorite vacation" or "What good advice could you give your grandchildren". All the 'stories' are combined into book form at the end. She knew I enjoyed writing and she enjoyed reading it, so there ya go. This week's prompt was "What are some of your favorite artists, albums or bands?"

Paul's thread here is very timely, as I wrote the latest story just this morning. If anyone is interested, here's a link to my OneDrive folder in which I saved a copy. It's several paragraphs long but does read fairly quickly.
It's rather pretentiously titled, "The Soundtrack of my life", because thats exactly what it is!

Like Gary and Tom, I don't either really listen to music while modelling.
I also like the silence, the concetration and focusing.
But if my wife Nathalie is listening to music next door, that I don't mind , as it's not really that loud

If I'm alone in the room I'm usually listening to something from the 80's. Metal, Hair Metal, Hard Rock
