Do that with Slipknot, All That Remains, or any other good thrash metal. I did that this morning near Target. The looks you get.BlackSheep214 wrote:Speaking of Heavy Metal, let's see...

Disturbed - I will play Indestructible really loud with car windows down if some wigger car pulls along side of me playing that rap junk just to piss him off and drown out his "music" (if you want to call it that LOL!)
Megadeth - Will do the same playing Symphony of Destruction
AC/DC - Same with Shoot to Thrill
Ozzy Osbourne

Back in October I bought my wife a 2017 Chrysler 300S that has a beats music system. Don't know much about it but it sounds good. When I encounter said crappy rap music this thing can drown out any of it. Found that Slipknot's people=shit or Lamb of God's laid to rest works the best.

Sometimes I'll pop a Dean Marin or Frank Sinatra CD for sh!ts and giggles and crank that sumbitch up high too.

Nothing wrong with that I love Dean and Frank.

Re: Music hath charms
I've got an extensive playlist of Classic Rock , 80's music and pretty much everything I listened to as a kid as well as a couple of more modern songs here and there on my Spotify.....pretty much Joe FM. lol Just put the earbuds in and let it take me away.

I've never been one for listening to music whilst modelling - I'm much more likely to listen to a podcast or have a film on in the background.

Re: Music hath charms
Between my iPod, Spotify, and YouTube, I have a large music library and multiple playlists across various genres to choose from. Sometimes I like a movie score or soundtrack, other times I like a particular “era” playlist to put me in the proper frame of mind for the subject that I’m working on at that moment.

Re: Music hath charms
When I listen to music I prefer southern rock - big Eagles fan, Skynyrd, Allman brothers, 38 Special, Hatchet, Blackfoot, Outlaws and so on. That said I have a wide variety of tastes outside of southern rock. Hmm... Hank Williams Junior, huge Van Halen fan, bunch of one hit wonders from the 80s, love grunge - Alice In Chains... I'd say Layne Staley had the best grunge voice of all, still Chris Cornell was awesome, Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland. And oddly enough I think 21 pilots are creative as hell. I could go on and on having brothers that were 10 years older than me in the 70s so ya Grand Funk, James Gang, Jimi Hendrix, Yes... probably easier to exclude those I'm kinda hmm about - Britinay pop stuff. And to wrap it up - I really dig ICP, Jamie Madrox and the whole Jugalo music scene. Boom.
Thanks,

NO Shit! We opened for the at The Living Room in Prov RI back in about 87. Small world when it comes to music.Fermis wrote:My band opened for Overkill, back in 94!Dragline wrote:
Sevendust and Overkill are my go to's a lot of times.
We didn't even know they were going to be there until after we played, tore down and loaded up.
As the 3rd band started (we were 2nd), we were still loading our gear...a tour bus and trailer pulled in.
"Is that Bobby Blitz"?...."Did we just open for Overkill"?!!!!
Pretty cool for a bunch of 18-19 year olds!
Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...
