My son, Eric

Post by LyleW »

Found out this morning that Eric is getting a pacemaker put in due to a consistently low heart rate...in the 40s this morning.

Apparently, went to family doc, who sent him to a cardio guy, who wanted a pacemaker...no emergency they said, but this hospital has an opening this morning, so go.

Waiting to hear how things go.

Just spent 20K on flooring. Finally found one we both like and it we also decided to have the old floor pulled up. Big mess a’comin’....

I hope you son does better with the Timex.
Flooring, yuck! I was in construction several years back and flooring was my second hated job after roofing.

Thanks, Gary.

Wood you? It is a vinyl plank. Has some real wood in it, I think :hmm:

Well, they have decided it is a 3rd degree AV block. I’m not sure, but it seems there is an “electrical” problem. Said a pacemaker is the only fix. They were told it may be somehow tied in with the China virus which he has had. Gotta love science.

This virous has caused sever outlying issues. One of them is Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is what caused me to get a double lung transplant. Most make it through OK but for some, it leaves lasting issues.

Sorry to hear about that Lyle. Hopefully Eric feels much better after adding the borg parts.
I had a simulated wood vinyl plank flooring a couple houses ago and it was dead quite, looked great and was soft to walk on.
Went through a year of renovations on my current house when we bough it - touched every room and built an outdoor living area as well. NO MORE! :ballbat:
Thanks,
John

I hope everything goes smoothly today for him.

I hate doing flooring by the time I was done laying new floor in my entire house I wanted to cut my legs off from the knees down

Pacemakers are a routine procedure. Still, I wish him and you all my best brother.

Flooring? I'd rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick...
Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...
