Well, it ain’t great, but it could be so much worse.
Eric is 44 years old. He has Sarcoidosis. This condition has affected his heart, lungs, spleen and liver. Nothing he did caused it, nothing would have prevented it. It happened.
It it treatable with large doses of antibiotics, steroids and auto-immune suppressing meds.
It can be stopped from spreading and may decrease in in the number of spots. This disease is like calcified spots on the organs. I guess if left untreated, it would continue until the organs fail. It is directly responsible for the heart issues as well as the AV Block he has.
Oh, today is their 21st wedding anniversary.
For now, the course of action is to get the meds going and slow/stop it from getting worse.
Sure hurts when it’s not you....

I actually hate these auto-immune diseases. My wife Linda has a slew of them from connective tissue disease to four types of arthritis, psoriasis and other things. It is a tough road so I will be praying for your son because I know a Man who can help.

Paul, sorry to hear this. Yes, it is tough and the meds can be almost as bad.Paul wrote:I actually hate these auto-immune diseases. My wife Linda has a slew of them from connective tissue disease to four types of arthritis, psoriasis and other things. Sorry Lyle. Now with a diagnosis at least the docs have a plan of action. Good luck to all of you

That’s true. He thinks this may have started around two years ago. But, I don’t know how you would ever know of this until it started having an impact on you. The pulmonologist is very optimistic they will get this nailed down.tempestjohnny wrote:Sorry Lyle. Now with a diagnosis at least the docs have a plan of action. Good luck to all of you

Jesus wept Lyle... You have my families most dearest regards and prayers for your young son.
I have asked many to say the kindest words to our Lord on his behalf.

Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...
