Okay, I just banned Mike for bad taste...

I have to admit that this movie didn't age well but Jack Nickolson pulled off such an unforgettable performance.
I think it's more a pure comic adaption than one of those modern, more realistic attempts to tell a super hero story.

 I just like the Christian Bale ones better. I like the Dark Knight Batman better.

Nah, I could never take Christian Bale seriously as a action hero, not after seeing him prance about in Little women...

I've always preferred the 1989 version, it's got a little bit of darkness to it but still the comic book origins. Okay so the special effects maybe a bit shoddy in places but they weren't too bad for the time.

I do fancy seeing the new one though.

I saw the new one. It's not bad actually. It's long (3 hrs) and it's more of the Dark Knight style.

That's good to know, I'm waiting to watch it on Amazon, but its like £15 to rent at the moment. When it gets cheaper I'll watch it.

My favorite Christian Bale role was Patrick Bateman in American Psycho

But he was also great as Ken Miles in Ford Vs Ferrari.

Empire of the Sun.

The acting that Christian Bale pulled off at that age was a sign of how good he would get.
