Thanks for the explanation. I started using sanding sticks again as a result, and they do make a big difference.

You're welcome! I get the ones from Hobby Lobby. They're cheap and do a great job.

I reckon resin is too soft/flexible to make good landing gear material. Looks great so far!

Just so that they don't feel left out, the Super Hornets made their turn at the bench. Back to cleaning up the forward fuselage on both.

Thanks guys! The nose on that one doesn't look nearly as bad as it does in the pic.

John, one will be a CAG jet for VFA-151 Vigilantes. The other I'm not 100% sure yet but probably just a Low-Viz line jet.
