Oh man, I wish I could be there to help. I just finished painting a bathroom for a friend from church. I love the way it looks now!

Lol! Its all good Mark. I’ve just gotta whine a little and I’m over it. It’s all a slow process but we are making our way through this whole ordeal.

I started applying the gloss coat this morning. I started out with the Vallejo gloss. I had NO luck this time as the Vallejo , no matter how much I played with the thinning, just wouldn’t act right. It would mist on fine and when I started applying the wet coat it wouldn’t behave. So..... I busted out with the MM gloss clear and everything went on perfectly. I probably just need more practice with the Vallejo. Gotta find a suitable replacement for MM as I know we’re not going to have this stuff available forever. Waiting on this to dry and it’ll be off to flat coating.

I managed to get the dull coat applied. Got some subtle weathering, soot signatures from the guns and some silvering to do around the access panels and the painting / weathering process will be done. Then its off to landing gear, canopy and finishing bits....

Looks really good, but...needs more CHROME!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Well.... some 262s did sport bare metal intake areas... :hmm:
