Thanks, bud. Appreciate your words sincerely. Congrats on your first week as a “free man.” Hope you spent the time decompressing!

I was thinking more along the lines of Marius creating STL files based on everything we are doing, because to date there is no accurate kit in this scale. I know what you mean about modifications but we really have no recourse if we want to make a realistic subject. What’s cool for me at least is building the way 1/72 channels ideas—which is unique to its scale, in the same way that 1/48 or 1/32 each have their idiosyncrasies. Does that make sense? I’m thinking about scribing the paneling and adding the fasteners next. First, though, sanding and priming!

That is extremely exciting and interesting !

Good work Bruce and Marius, would be great to see some post of that "digitalisation" project as well !

Hi Kari!

Thanks for following and your comments. Marius already designed a set of exhaust stubs for this particular kit, so I am hopeful he will do something with the rebuilt fuselage, not positive, but hopeful. I could cast these parts since they are relatively small. I’m not sure if that is more trouble than the pieces are worth. One aspect - and there are many - that I find compelling about Marius’s approach to building is the degree of prototype planning he does as a matter of course. I certainly have learned more about planning from a set of drawings from following along here. That’s one of the many reasons I am so grateful to him for suggesting we build an aircraft model together.
