British phantom FGR.2 "Firebirds"

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I have decided to do both aircraft kits as mentioned in my "What Should I Do Next" thread. After studyin gthe sprues, I am excited to jump into this one. First is the Fujimi 1/72 British Phantom FGR.2.

Last night, I started a working on a couple of parts: the Bang seats and wings. Drilled out the holes for underwing pylons prior to gluing the wing parts.

Even this one has gazillions of stencils for 1/72 scale. :headbang: :bored:

Deciding if it’s even worth doing them since you’re barely gonna see them. Knowing me, I’m a sucker for glutton of punishment and cave in.

I can imagine how tiny they are
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Oh nice! I like the Spey engined Brit Phantoms. Looks like Fujimi got the under fuselage contours right! The Speys were lower and angled down more, making the undersides less flat.
