But don’t blame Italeri, that kit was originally molded by ESCI in the late 70’s/early 80’s when they were running wild about 1/48 aircraft. It’s one of their many molds now sold by Italeri.
Nope. You'll see why later when I get home to post pics.

No worries. I have a coup,e in my stash and I can check them out myself to see that issue.

Here's the head scratcher front strut issue.

I've learned to cut them off and pin them later on, at least then I don't lose the strut to the carpet monster when it departs of its own accord.

Masked both canopy pieces and glued on main canopy, This one is fighting me to stay in place. Had to hold it in place so it can dry and hold. :headbang: All is left to glue on is the front canopy and hopefully that part will fit and sit without a fight. Then it’ll be ready for primer and paint!

Got the front canopy glued on last night. As I predicted, there will be gaps. Out came the Perfect Putty. Worked like a charm. Time for primer and paint!

Coming along nicely! It's strange that you had to add the nose gear early. I have the same kit and I didn't have to do that. :hmm:
