Airfix 1/72nd Beaufighter TFX

Post by Bish »

Been itching to build this for a while, finally got to it on Thurs.

Image

I am adding some Eduard PE and Quickboost resin parts and Aires wheels. For markings i am useing a set of DK decals for an aircraft of 455 Sqn RAAF based at Langham in Norfolk. I also have some Plus Model 6 inch rockets on route.

Not to much work before its ready for priming, most of the interiour PE is pre coloured. These are the pit parts along with the tail wheel ready for priming.

Image

The fuselage has not had anything added yet, but does have ribbing detail all the way along.

Image

The wheel wells and doors are interiour green so that have been made ready for priming as well.

This all got primed tonight and i'll get the green on in the morning.

A classic WW2 aircraft. Nice!

Love the Beaufighter, it's been on my 'to do' list for a while as well, I'd also like to do that new Beaufort.

Great start Bish.

That’s a pretty nice kit! This will be a good one to watch! :hmm:
