Eduard 1/48 Spitfire mk.XVIe
Re: Eduard 1/48 Spitfire mk.XVIe
Mighty impressive work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle! It's not my best but its too bad. The Yellow leading edges are going on.

eager to see this. Yellow can be tough to brush...or spray.

Lol! Nothing too complex - just a couple of thickish coats - thankfully it doesn't need a lot as it's just the L/E.
I'm removed all the masking, just a few touch-ups and then I'll add a gloss coat.
Cheers!

Thanks Lyle!
Touch-ups done & exhausts painted.
Better make a start on the u/c etc. before I get on with the gloss coat and decals!

Beautiful work Stuart!
What color did you use on the exhausts?
What color did you use on the exhausts?

Thanks Gents!
U/C built and prop ready for paint.
Gun barrels in place.
The parts breakdown on this kit is stupid - those short gun covers are two parts.... Come on Eduard, why use 1 part when you can use 6!
Cheers!
It's actually Vallejo's 'jet exhaust' metallic. It's a bit too bright but I'm going to dull it down a lot with some weathering powders.Stikpusher wrote:What color did you use on the exhausts?

Well, seeing how that Model Master “Jet Exhaust” is now a thing of the past, I’ll have to look for that Vallejo color.
