D-Day invasion stripes decals and insignias applied to top wings, D-Day stripes to fuselage done. Tail marking done. Tomorrow, a coat of clear to seal it in before painting the stripes to tone down the bright white and black using Off White and Weathered black. Stripe repainting will be done soon after clearcoat dries and cures.
Pics forthcoming.....

Invasion stripes repainted!! Before and After pics....
I found it easy to repaint D-Day stripes is by using the decals as a guide.

Decal Invasion stripes...

All is left is to spray a coat of clear to seal in the stripes in preparation for the last bits of decals. Once that's done, a final coat of flat clear to seal it all in.

Thank you, Tony. With the discovery of how the D-Day stripes were never laser straight or neat as shown in various photos, decal stripes were all wrong portraying them as laser straight, bright white and stark jet black.

I used Vallejo Off White and Floquil Railroad Weathered Black. Now that I ran out of the weathered black, I’ll have to find a substitute color or mix my own.

Those look to be spot on! Nice work. Well done. Take 2 dollars out of petty cash and get something nice for yourself.

Almost to the finish line! Final decal session done. I installed the radial engine to fuselage and cowling. The cowling I'm not going to bother gluing in place since it snaps in place. Easy enough for me. :lashed:

All is left to do is a final coat of flat clearcoat, minor weathering, and install the fiddly bits, bombs, rockets, drop tank, and landing gears.
