Thanks for the input guys! I'll be jumping back onto the Hien build at some point. It was a toss-up between doing the fuselage riveting on the Hien or finishing up the engine plug on the Dora and the Dora won out.

I haven't made a firm decision on the canopy position but I am leaning towards leaving it open.

You have a thing for Dora’s, don’t you John?

Yup! My favorite aircraft from way back as a child. But even this Dora fanatic is feeling the effects of building multiple copies of the same kit. I won't say I'm tired of it but it's close. Can't really see myself building another even though I have one more Big Tail Dora in the stash.

That rivet trick is impressive, but the cockpit is astounding!!!!

Thanks Steve! I appreciate the comments! The rivets are a bit exaggerated at this stage just to check progress. The final effect will be much more subtle.

Jumping over to the Hien build as I wait for some products to arrive on the Dora build.

A fuel regulator was fashioned from a piece of sprue, a strip of brass sheeting and couple of Anyz line connectors.

Not knowing what color it was, I decided on red to match the cartoon drawing of the Hien I posted earlier.

Here's the regulator in place.

After the regulator was glued into place, I placed some copper wiring to to replicate the two fuel lines.

Excellent detail work!
