1/72 Italeri MB 339 A

Post by SigEp Ziggy »

I have been trying to complete ONE model recently and this might be it

I will build this aircraft as Fuerza Aerea Argentina during the Falklands War 1982

Great subject choice! And timely with the 40th anniversary of that war having just ended.

Very nice plane! I've also wanted to find and build that plane as well. I'm going to enjoy watching this one.

Interesting subject, I'm always a bit cagey about Falklands war builds, having read so much about it as a kid I could never bring myself to build anything Argentinian. Especially as my uncle was in the Royal Navy at the time.

The 339 is a sweet looking aircraft.

I'm temped to buy a second one so I can build a 339 C and use the A wing tip tanks to build a 'Soccer War' Mustang

Anyhow, I have some update photos, putting some sub-assemblies together, fixed the intakes and sharpened the trailing edges of the wings and sacrificed the cap of a scribing tool for a exhaust nozzle
