1:48 Grumman Avenger

Post by Cherrylock »

The Avanger is a carrier torpedobomber and waterbomb bomber, it is a big a/c. Hobbyboss has a kit, not so detailed as Accurate Miniatures but with a nice engine and folding wings. Italeri reboxed the Accurate Miniatures kit with a better cockpit and bomb bay than Hobbyboss. Italeri has a excelent decal sheet with lots of different makings and subverions.

:writing: The Avenger is certainly and impressive aircraft for a single engine job.

The way it looks here is even 'bulkier' and intimidating.

I have the HB kit and had fun with it, but this looks a whole lot 'bussier' to build.

Wonderful mate  . Well done.

I love the AM kit...like I said in the other thread...probably my fav 1/48 kit period. You've done a great job as usual. The HB kit doesn't look like it's a bad one though.
thanks for the comments JimD and RedRoo.

Jim you miss some navy fighters from me? So I have to post more.. :boxing:

Oh I do like the Tarpon with folded wings! Very sharp!

One of my favorite planes. The Tarpon is top notch!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
