1/72 Special Hobby Bugatti 100p

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

And she is finished!

I have put on two coats of blue over white primer and two coats of gloss. I am happy with the finish. It reminds me of the Potez and Caudron racers that I saw at the museum at Le Bourget.
The canopy was framed using strips of bare metal foil. That was a very tedious job and I will not be doing that again soon. All details are brush painted and I drilled some holes for air intakes etc.

Hard to believe that it was a real design. :hmm: That turned out looking great! And it’s so petite as well. It makes a P-51 look beefy.

Well done!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Goed gedaan Remco, well done!

I like especially the paintwork, that blue you don’t see that often on airplanes!

Very interesting history, not to mention the drama with the reproduced Bugatti 100p in 2016.

Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall

Thanks for the nice comments ! I am currently very busy, doing a study besides work, so I have little time for modelling. Just finishing something gave me a great feeling!
