I had a bit of a mad dash over the weekend and managed to get these two finished up - Matchbox's 1/72 M-1 Abrams and their older 1/76 Challenger. Both are brush painted as always, with a mix of paints. I useded a few washes (and some Tamiya weahtering powders) on the challenger and mudded up the Abrams to cover up the bad reaction I had between the paint and clear coat.
Over all I'm pretty pleased with them.
Cheers!

Very nice builds Stuart!
Difficult to tell they aren’t 1/35 scale, very well painted!

Fine looking work you got there! Bravo!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: A couple of finished builds.
Nice job Stuart. I really like the camo on the Challenger.
Thanks,

Great finishes on both tanks Stuart, and excellent recovery on the paint mishap on the Abrams! Another Bravo on the Abrams base as well with the muddy torn up tracks through the grass, an excellent touch!

Well done, Stuart.

Thanks all, you're too kind!
Thanks Carlos - it's a very simple base but it needed something.Stikpusher wrote:Great finishes on both tanks Stuart, and excellent recovery on the paint mishap on the Abrams! Another Bravo on the Abrams base as well with the muddy torn up tracks through the grass, an excellent touch!
