I've got a can of Go Mango but I didn't shoot it out of the can. I've found that decanting and shooting that stuff through a Badger 350 airbrush yields the best results. Lots better control than out of the can. I'm just not much on Testors paints straight out of the can. I got lucky once or twice but after a few botched paint jobs it ALL goes through the airbrush now. It took me the better part of 3 years to perfect my method but now that I've got it down pat I can't think of another way I'd do it. Perfect results every time.keavdog wrote:Nah - the paint is really, really bad. It's a good kit for sure. I suppose I got to comfortable with Tamiya going on near perfect. I shot Testors go man go out of the can and got a pretty heavy pebble finish. I've got all the stuff to polish paint, but I cut through on the high spots so often I find it frustrating. Next one of these I'll do with one of the Slixx options - leaning towards Hustlin' Hemi

That looks like it turned out good John. I know you had your troubles with the paint but hopefully the next one goes better for you. Will be looking forward to seeing it. Dragon Lady you say?

That looks great from here!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Looks awesome! I need to get that kit myself. I’ve been holding off on it too long.

Looks good to me.
I will say I don't understand the fascination with that era of Detroit iron, but I know I am in the the minority in that regard.

It was all about the horsepower wars. And now we are in a new era of crazy crazy horsepower. Back then 450HP was stellar, now Dodge sells a Demon with a factory warranty, drag slicks and skinnies at 808 HP. Bad ass!
Thanks,
John
