Lindberg Toyota 4X4 Pickup

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I have been working on this kit off and on and in between these last 6 months. But first there is a story behind this kit. A long time ago in the early 2001, I was in the market for a Toyota Tacoma truck. One day around the early part of the holiday shopping season, my dad asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I wanted a brand new Toyota Tacoma truck. Needless to say, I learned to be careful for I wish for. Come Christmas day, I get this....

The rest of the what has been done thus far. Just for the record, it was molded in mint green.

Engine and chassis....

Since I've already mentioned it was molded in mint green, I liked it so I found Mint Green in rattle can but slightly darker. Yup. That's a nice color...

“Hey, Boris?”
“Yes, Ivan Ivanovich, What do you want.”
“Boris, this truck will be a chick magnet in the UKRAINE, no?”
“Ivan Ivanovich, Da, Da. This truck is cooler than a Minsk chick in a fur coat!”
“Da, Da, Boris! You know what else?”
“No, Ivan Ivanovich, what else besides a chick magnet?”
“Boris, it is the perfect color for the cockpits of our jets, Da?”
“It would, Ivan Ivanovich! Da, it would!”

And that is the little known story behind the Russian cockpit color.

Okay, maybe not, but this is a really sharp looking build!

Great color. In all these years I've never done a pickup. Closest thing was a bronco last year.
Thanks,
John

Nope. Great idea though if you can find one in 1/20th scale…..

A few 12 packs and a couple of cute girls was the proper loadout if I recall :giggles:

Looking good. Too bad this kit isn't 1/25.
