BlackSheep's 1/35 scale '65 Ford Mustang GT350

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Already assembled, primed and painted. Won't be long now...

Tires (minus the rims) using Mission Model Tire Black 1. I strip and redo using flat black instead.

Didn't know there was such a kit. Tell us more.

This kit was part of a monthly giveaway from Revell Model Club back in the late 70s, early 80s. I’ve received a couple prior to this but don’t remember what they were now - I think one was an armor kit. They came in a cardboard box, inside will be a newsletter and a kit of their choosing.

This is building up quick! :shoutout: You’re turning into quite the car modeler Tom... :hmm:

Thanks Stik. Car models were my first kits starting out. I’ve always had a saying when doing enough car kits as I have; Instructions? I don’t need no stinkin’ instructions. :giggles:
I used to bang out car kits every week in my early teen years. And buy a new one the next week with my allowance money. Those were the days when car kits were $6 - $8.

A mishap happened this afternoon. Sprayed a coat of clear gloss coat and left it out in the sun to dry since it was a nice day. I come back later to check on it and found it out in the lawn. A gust of wind must’ve picked whilst I was indoors. Dirt, grass, and other crap stuck on the kit from the wet clear coat. :headbang:

Back in the clear bin to strip paint with Easy Off and start over. :bored: :headbang:

Good thing I hadn’t put the decals on yet.

Must be something the air! Went down to the Piddle Palace this morning and found the Victor upside down on the floor, canopy off, nose split, filler gone... round four...

Ahhhh... now that makes perfect sense as to your knocking out the car builds

Ouch, Lyle. Yeah... today wasn’t one of those great days. But hey, like you said “Scale modeling is fun!” :lashed:
