2017 Ford GT

Post by Ceaser_Sa1ad »

I started my GT today. Primed it, promptly dropped it. That's ok, the primer wasn't all that well applied anyway so it gives me a chance to fix some things. Engine is started too.

Which kit you building? yeah, I was painting a hood, putting my last pass of clear on, it promptly fell off the holder, and landed wet side down on the floor :headbang:

Uh, that is a universal rule........
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

LOL! Yup, I’ve had that happen to me a few times. As Lyle mentioned, it’s a universal rule these days…. :giggles:

This is the Revell kit.
Glad to see I'm not alone in this!

Funny…. I know this isn’t the same car but I have never seen the movie, Ford vs Ferrari. :bag: I know there is a car kit of the Ford GT from that movie out there.

Yes Meng just came out with a 1/12 and a1/24 '66 GT40 MKII with markings for all three cars (Ford finished 1,2,3 in Le Mans in 66) and there's the old Fujimi kit as well. I did the Fujimi kit ages ago - it's a curbside. I have the 1/24 Meng kit in the stash it is a beauty!
BTW - watch the movie!
Thanks,
John

There is, it is by Meng I believe.
I plan to do the Polar Lights 2006 Ford GT and maybe the 1966 GT all in the same colour.

Despite dropping it, it is now silver. I kind of want to keep it this way but I also want to do the blue over it. Hmm :hmm:

It has some paint boogers but it's pretty good looking.
