A different kind of Impala

Post by AgentG »

This is the last car I drove before retirement. They gave me a new one 6 weeks before I left.

I used the Revell snap kit and added the equipment from my parts box to replicate my car.

And to think if you were still working there, you could make some good Michael Brown bonus money to buy more models... :giggles:

The opportunities for overtime were endless in that town.

and they continue on occasion... I remember getting a new (used) car after Rodney King due to my OT from that ruckus... :ballbat:

The absolute best was the flood detail of 1993. The Mississippi rose to unprecedented heights and remained there for two months. I personally worked 27 consecutive 12 hour days. My regular schedule at that time was 9-5 Monday through Friday in Bomb and Arson.
The flood detail had me working 8pm to 8am. That meant double or on weekends and shift differential.
Bought a brand new BMW motorcycle the next spring.
