Planes 2: Avalanche the bulldozer (Zvezda) >NO PICS<

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

Today my son and I build the last of the Planes kits. We have the whole series complete.
It was Avalanche, one of the smoke jumpers.

We work together one these kits. He cuts them from the sprues, I remove any burrs with a exacto and he does (most of) the construction.

And together with his teammate Drippers.

These kits are snap tite and have some working features so they can be played. But not very rough because they will fall apart.

Thanks guys, my son just turned five last week. We have been building these Planes (and a few from Cars) kits for quite a while. We have got the whole Planes and Planes 2 serie complete. Fortunately is have a few more Cars models stashed away.
The other great thing is that he knows he can touch, pick up and play with his models. But mine are not to be touched.

Yeah, what they all said! Love to see a Dad with his kids.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Way to go Borg! It's always great seeing father and son building together! These are memories he will treasure long after he's grown up. Very nice work from a talented and intelligent young man.
