Beautiful job!! I have been recruited to drop a 440 Magnum in my Brother's 1970 Challenger SE/RT sometime in the near future. It's Plumb Crazy with a white vinyl roof, the exact car in the movie Vanishing Point. We are pulling the 383 that is in it as it's non original. He has owned it since the 70's. We restored the car back in the 90's . My other brother has a 71 RT Challenger with a 440 in it... Scary fast. The 340 in my 73 Cuda is ok with me.

Sounds like a fun project. The late model 5.7L (340) is a great platform stock or moded. I have a built 340 stroked to a 370 (5.7 to 6.1) fully built motor and its a beast. No replacement for displacement... until you put a supercharger on it! :)
Thanks,
John

The engine in my 73 is number matching. I bought the car when I was 18, back in early 85 for $1000. After running it a few years I parked it as the clutch broke and she needed attention all around. It was parked and used as a toy shelf for my kids until around 2004. I rebuilt the engine ( and cam'd a bit but nothing wild) transmission and front end rubber/ball joints just so I could drive her until I could restore the body.

This was from quite a while ago, I am in the center. We tore around until we hear sirens in the distance, then sat at my brothers place until things calmed down..... we haven't been "allowed to" since by our better halves

I had a 71 Cuda in the mid 80's. Kicking myself for the last 20 years for getting rid of it. Just didn't have the funds or knowledge at the time. It was a built 318 car. Had a 4.11 8 3/4 rear end. Would bring the front tires up when it got good traction. Was having all kinds of electrical issues so I sold it :headbang:

Beautiful trio of Mopars right there Brent! Can't ever get enough of those!!

OK.....I guess I've gotta break out my old Mopar. It was my very first car. A 1966 Barracuda with a 318 :

You've got no kick coming with that 318 Johnny. If built right those things could be some revving little screamers. Especially with that stout rear end with the 4.11's in there.

Heh...don’t feel bad. When my sis and I found out my dad’s first car was a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, we choked. We ragged him on why he didn’t hold on to it for us.
