Not that my opinion matters, but that guy we know, James Wechler uses Model Master Wood for flesh highlighted with tan then a raw umber wash. I dunno. I use his way because I suck at figure faces and the old Shep books about painting 1/35 faces I inherited from my dad are beyond my abilities. Wechler's stuff works well enough for me.

Yes, Jim’s method is nice and quick. I just haven’t had the results that I like with it yet. Perhaps if I work with it a bit more. Jim turns out some fantastic builds in reasonable time. I can’t knock his results.
