I think that is photoshopped! Not enough smoke.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Wow! The blend between resin and kit is seamless (pardon the pun).
You really have done a magnificent job on this kit! Now you should just do a diorama... Kong vs Godzilla :hmm:

Duke Maddog wrote:Wow, I just finally got caught up with this after two days of Hobby Day. Brilliant work Bruce, the seam work is pristine, perfectly filling the gaps and blending with the rest of Kong. The paint work looks amazing as well.

Ah, Star Trek! My friend Bill and I just finished watching all the episodes on Netflix; some of which I'd never seen before. Talk about memories!

I think I even have a couple Enterprise kits in the stash, including a cutaway version....

Looking forward to seeing more.
Mark,

I’m too high on paint fumes to reply properly. When’s the next Hobby Day?

Wow, Kong is really coming to life! It sure looks like his hand is ready for that beer can! Wow! Love Cheech and Chong in the Falcon as well!

Bruce, the next Hobby Day is scheduled for October 8 and 9, but there is a game convention hosted by the St. Crispin's Irregulars at Fullerton College on the 9th and 10th of October as well. St, Crispin's Irregulars is the group that hosts Hobby Days. I don't know if we'll have the Hall opened on the Friday but it won't be open on the Saturday due to everyone being at the game convention. I'll have to keep you posted.

That is a fantastic bit of painting Bruce - very nicely done!

I think the Army painter paints have a reasonably good rep - from what I've heard from wargaming circles anyway!

Kong goes to the dentist! Fangs are separate castings which I will paint and add tomorrow. Meanwhile I have his tongue, gums and the rest of his not-so-pearly whites painted in Army Painter colors.

You have each been influential in making me more confident and a better modeler as well as being good friends.
