COMPLETED: Taras Bulba | 1/6

Post by tigrazor »

Sorry if I build that bust "under the radar". It was really fun and so far its the biggest bust in my collection. 1/6 scale is really huge.

Well done on the bust! I liked how you made the healed scar on his face stand out.

Ugh, now that was fast!
I really like your interpretation with the grey hair and glassy eyes of an aged man. His armour looks like on parade, very bright and clean.
But why not, today nearly everything is shown worn and torn.

A very fine peace of work!

Yes, I wanted the uniform shiny, because he - as a leader of cossacs - cant allow to wear worn out uniforms. ;)

Just kidding. In fact, I wanted to give the Valejo Acrylic Metals a try in big scale (I tried them for several smaller projects first). And theyre really good and can compete surely with the non-acrylic metals like Alclad II, Humbrol etc.
