1/35 KV-II Trumpeter

Post by Thomas_M »

Only two pics of this one, sorry. The Trumpeter kit was a breeze to build. Only aftermarket is the gun barrel (RB?). The figure, again painted by Armin Huber, is from Tamiya´s 18ton halftrack tractor. The base was bought on a model show for 1.00 Deutschmark!

That looks great! But I will ask for more photos if possible... The KV-2 was such a big beast!

Cool, a Beutepanzer!
The fact that you paid the base in good ol' Mark lets me guess that this is made pre 2002?

Thanks for reminding me that I am this old... Yes, I remember the change from b/w TV to colour. And also the 1969 moon landing.

Sadly, I don´t have more pictures of the KV II.

Great build Thomas! that turret itself is frightening enough even without barrel. :bag:

Thomas,

Your work is always amazing to see! Ditto your photography! Do you choose your backgrounds based upon color sensitivities or aesthetic designs? I like the sand colored backdrop here very much!

Bruce, I have some coloured sheets of card board that I use for backgrounds. I just select those to my taste. No magic here!

While I use my iPhone for WIP progress pictures here and there, I tend to use my Canon EOS 60D with a macro lens for the "better" shots. Camera settings are manually done, as is the depth of field.
