You would think that Rolls Royce could have coordinated with Revell before they designed those crooked fan blades for us poor modelers... :headslap:

Beautiful work on the engine Torben :shoutout:

Very nice! I'm taking notes in painting so I can do similar on my An-124 engines.

They do look really good! Compression blades and vanes is what I work with everyday. It's really cool to see them start as a length of titanium bar stock and get forged into the blade. My part of the job is chemical milling them in hydrofluoric acid between forge operations and before getting sent to machine milling.

Not much has been done over this hot and busy summer. Thankfully the impact of the pandemic on my life's still minor. But still I wish I had a bit more of bench time. Nevertheless there is some progress. I thought about a way on how to present this big kit when finished and stumbled across a manufacturer that sells stands for Lego models. Ordered one and glued a 2x4 tile onto the A350's belly. Took some bricks to build a handle to facilitate the painting process.

Grey primer is on. Some blemishes to sand out and then on to the overall white coat.

Wow! That's a great idea. Can you post a link to that Lego stand stuff?
