Here’s a collection of some of my 1/48 Monogram planes all photographed at the Cameron, Texas airport. I think most have been previously seen but here they are as a group. And, there are still a few of my Monogram models that haven’t been to the airport yet. I hope to have some more pics soon! Thanks for your interest, Gary

A couple of these are new to me. But I never tire of seeing your builds posed at the airport. They look so right there.

Re: Monogram Airforce at the airport
Thanks Stik. Ya know, I can't think of a better place to photograph these models. I do have several more to shoot out there, including my P-39 and SBD (both Monogram of course, ) There is a big new hangar going up and there's a bunch of activity at the moment. Cameron also has a new City Manager that I haven't met yet. I hope I don't get hassled. I've been going out there for pics for 20 years now without a single issue and hope to keep it that way.
There is another small town nearby with an airport too. Rockdale is about 20 miles away and there are several old hangars there that look like great scenery for WWII planes at least. I hope to give that a try soon too.

Thanks so much Ms.Owl! It's just the place for my "four-footers".CallSignOWL wrote:love those airport pics, makes em look real nice!!

I hope that you can continue to use the place. With the lighting, shadows, etc...it just makes the build! Nice work, Gary.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: Monogram Airforce at the airport
I was just talking to Mrs. Texgunner, the lovely Miss Jackie, about going to Rockdale for a photo session, maybe tomorrow. I want to take my P-39, SBD Dauntless, Typhoon and MiG-21 at least. None have ever been photographed at an airport. The Rockdale airport has a couple old hangars that might make a great backdrop. I hope to have new pics soon.
