The Duke's 2021 Year in Review.

Post by Duke Maddog »

Now that I finished up my last models for 2021, it's time to post my Year in Review. It was a very armor heavy year, mostly due to my drive to get to 1000 completed armor models I guess. Here we go....

Here they are in the order they are shown in my Completed Models Gallery, starting in January. I''ll be posting the pics that look the best so some will be different:

Australian M-113 APC:

Russian BTR-70 Early:

Russian BTR-70 Late:

Ukrainian BTR-3K:

US Army M-5 Stuart:

US Army M-551 Sheridan:

Israeli M-51 Isherman:

Now in February, I completed just this one:

US Army O-1 Bird Dog:

In March, I completed these:

Canadian Leopard 1A3:

Russian 2S19 MSTA:

US Army D-9 Bulldozer:

In April I completed these:

Russian BRDM-1 with AT-1 Snapper ATGW:

US Army (captured) Olympia Sedan:

Skipping ahead to June where I had a really productive month. I completed all these:

British FV-432 APC:

British Chieftain Mk.5:

British Chieftain Mk.10:

British Chieftain Mk.11:

British WWI era Type B Omnibus "Ole Bill":

British WWI Mk.1 Female, Gaza Strip:

Israeli Nagmasho't Heavy APC:

Israeli Nagmashon Heavy APC:

Israeli Centurion Sho't Meteor:

My next one finished was in July:
My one and only 1/35th scale M-48A3 Patton tank built for the SoCal AMPS Patton Group Build:
Image

The next one I completed was in September:
My 1/72 scale Antonov An-124 'Ruslan' NATO Code name: Condor:
Image

In October I finished these:
US Army M-41 Walker Bulldog:
Image

Australian Centurion Mk.5 LR:
Image

British Centurion Mk.5:
Image

British FV-4005 "JS Killer":
Image

Finally in December I finished up all these to round out the year:
US Army M-1240 M-ATV:
Image

French AMX VCI APC:
Image

Japanese Type 96 Wheeled APC A:
Image

Japanese Type 96 Wheeled APC B:
Image

Italian Centauro B1T:
Image

Israeli Centurion Sho't Kal Alef:

Fokker F-27 Friendship:

And finally, the JMSDF Carrier Izumo:

And that wraps up my 2021 modeling year. Forty models finished for the year; not bad, but still under my old average. Regardless, I'm thrilled to have gotten all these done!

Thank all for looking in, comments are welcome.

awesome work, Mark....I did 1001 (in binary terms)!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

That is simply mind boggling work Mark!!!! :wow: Many of these kits are so labor intensive due to size or complexity, yet you churn them out in impressive quality and quantity!
You are one ass kicking modeling machine my friend! I don’t know how you do it, but keep it up! I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Thank you Johnny! You are most kind, especially since some of these did not quite finish as well as I was hoping.

Thank you Kari! I think maybe you counted the two Japanese APCs as one. They are two separate vehicles with a slight variance so my actual count is forty..Your words are most gracious, I appreciate your kindness and compliments.

Thank you Lyle! 1001 in binary? Wow, you were smokin'! Time for me to quit; I can't keep up wit that! :whiteflag: :giggles:

My deepest thanks for your most generous praise Carlos! You are so very kind. I think the fact that I jump round on builds helps me to keep from being burned out on so many, thus allowing me to keep at them fresh every time I sit down and pick them up. Next......

Two, possibly three aircraft and a helicopter. At least those are the closest ones to being done right now....

Thank you Clint! It was a bit more productive than I expected, given my mid-year doldrums and dead mojo.

LOL! Thanks Mike! Wow, nobody has ever called me that before! Right on! Thank you as well for your kind words.

Well God Damn, Mark…. since you’ve done Old Bill, I’ve got to do the WW1 Pigeon bus. :giggles: Early 1900 vehicles are definitely are my goals to build in 2022. I’ve got a couple in my sights. I’ll gonna have to throw a few hints to my sister and the missus what I want for my birthday come March 2022.

You are a machine, my friend. Well done and am looking forward for more in 2022. :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:
