Sputnik 1

Post by Scruffy »

This is Red Iron Models 1/24th scale Sputnik 1. Not a bad kit and something different. I enjoyed the build and am mostly happy with how it turned out so, in the grand scheme of things that is what counts.

Excellent build Scruffy!

Hey, Scruffy! That is one unique kit! For something that simple, you hit it out if the park! Great weathering.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I love seeing real space craft, and not just the plain old American (sorry yanks) space shuttles. Where on earth did you find this??
Looks superb

Thank you, you can get it from their web store, but shipping was hugely expensive. Mega Hobby in NJ got some in, it showed up in one of their new items emails, so I cashed in my rewards points and got one. I like building odd or unusual kits or subjects, so this was a fun little build. I do not know if Mega Hobby still have any in stock or not.
