Doug Masters' Viper

Post by Stuart »

:hmm: I fancy building another F-16, anyone got a spare Hades bomb?

Image

I actually have some spare Mavericks and an TER left over from my Airfix kit, and some cluster bombs from my Hasegawa B. I just need something to mock up the Hades...

It's a bit of cheesy film in places, but having watched it again this afternoon whilst I was working, it's not nearly as bad as I remember - and y'know - it features real planes, none of the CGI shit.

That is one movie that I have never watched before… ever… :hmm:

Really!?! That surprises me Carlos, I'd have thought every aviation buff of a certain age would have seen it. It's typical 80's cheese, a bit of low budget Top Gun, but the flying sequences are pretty good - the IAF F-16s get put through their paces.

Incidentally, the F-16As in the top photo above are actually from Iron Eagle II - only just noticed that :hmm:

Cheers!

Yup, "Iron Eagle" as such rings a bell, but not really in this context... :bag:

Ha - I remember that one. A highly unlikely story but hey, it's an cool airplane movie!
Thanks,

Stuart... what scale? I "might" have something similar but give me a chance to take a look.

Well I've seen it and all the others. II and III. Cheesy, unrealistic, but still a cool airplane movie.
Right up there with Firebirds the Apache movie
