Starliner and a couple of rails

Post by Dragline »

AMT 60 Starliner [Now finished], AMT Tommy Ivo AA/FD and Monogram Prudhomme AA/FD

Prudhomme is still not finished as I still need to scratchbuild a fuel pump for it. Most of the plumbing is done however. The Ivo car has been finished for some years now.

I am afraid there is some hassle with postimg.cc, as those pics are big as a small stamp and cannot be opened... :hmm:
But what can be seen nevertheless looks awsome, but bigger please !

Thanks brother. I try like heck. I like scratch building the fuel systems on Top Fuel cars. I may have to dig out my Bernstein Bud King AA/FD. I am going all out on it like a Thibodeau build. That's a guy who packs detail into a 1/25th scale drag car.

I love drag racing, and drag cars have the motors out in the open giving the builder options on how far he wants to take the detail levels. It could be as simple as plug wires, or an all out assault with every piece of plumbing and electrical wire in place. I think it depends on how sane you actually are.

I'll post my Garlits Swamp Rat 1R build later on. It's got a high parts and scratch building quotient on it.
Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...

Those are some incredible pieces of work. Wow.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

That is some beautiful work!!! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: It looks you dress up your car builds beyond what comes in the box. :hmm:

Fantastic work! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:
I did my first rail last year - Larry Dixon's Miller Lite top fuel. I'm doing Don Garlits 09 dragpak Challenger now.
Don't see too many rails - excited to see you wrap up Prudhomme. I just scored the old snake/mongoose funnycar kit.
Thanks,
John
