If you weather it, the splotchy paint will just enhance the effect.

You’re doing just fine on this one Lyle. All ahead full!

Thanks, Stuart. Trying to get the bits done. No time lately!

Thank you, Kari. This is a “kindergarten” level build. Very minimal parts count, considering most are the deck cleats and capstan.

Won’t be much work on it the next few days. Too much other stuff going on.

calling this one done. The "USS Fork"... :bag: I've had to make a capstan, one dive plane, and a deck cleat...The more I touch it the more I have to re-do. Needs a bit of touch up on the gray and hull red, though. That can wait for a day or two to let all the glue dry.

Generally, happy with the build. Once again, small parts are a pain in the stern for me, even on something this simple and basic.

Congrats on getting to the finish like, Kyle. Looks like it's been at sea for awhile, isn't that a good thing?

Thank you. You are quite kind in your words! :giggles: I wanted it to look somewhat beaten up, but frankly, I have no idea how to weather this stuff. So, I leave it. Again, thanks.

Lyle, you could add a dark wash to the side vents on the hull to make those stand out better, then do some rust streaks down from those.
