You were t gonna tell!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: AMT 1/25 Fruehauf 40' Box Trailer
I know you guys are getting tired of this...
It is back to gether. Not "perfect", but it will have to do. Seams are somewhat rough. On this box, there are approximately 109 inches of seams, soft plastic, no interior stiffeners, and so on.
I've had this thing completely apart once, partially apart several times. No matter how much I scrub it with debonder, it is never completely clean or so it seems. But, I am happy with it. I did not get the hammer out.
Puting some PPP in some of the really rough spots and goint over it with a moist paper towel, steel wool, tooth picks, jack hammer...I have (or will have) spent the majority of the morning on using a toothpick to clean out the small ridges on the front and sides.
But, hooray, the doors fit.
If i were to build another ...and I have two more similar in the stash, I would add some pieces to true and stiffen the side panels.

This is why I've never attempted a big rig. Too may long panels to warp and make me lose my cool.
Progress is being made and it looks good.

Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...

Thank you, Bob. It is still a bit warped, but so am I!

Time for coffee with a little bit of moonshine added to it and you'll get this done prpoerly. Looking good Lyle. I've done rigs but never a trailer.
It's almost time for Ollie's to release more model kits so I "might" grab a rig and trailer.

I don't get down to Ollie's very often. It is about 15 miles away, but then again so is Hobby Lobby and the two LHS' in my area. Hobby Lobby seems to be getting sparse on kits, I guess to supply chain issues, but they had this one...

Well I am assuming over time real trailers like that get a little warped. And even if it isn't when you cross your eyes it wouldn't be warped.
Looks great though!
