Great photo, Stik!

I spied something that’s not included in the Hobby Boss kit - the mirror glass on top of front windscreen. :bored: Looks like I’ve got to find something to replicate that.

Great shot of oil stains on fuselage too.

Man the weathering on that Hellcat! It would be fun to replicate.

Got the underside painted using Mission Model Sky and topside Model Master acrylic 5-O Ocean Grey (RAF Ocean Grey). Using Silly Putty for the first time to mask the underside to topside with hopes of achieving a soft line between colors.
Tomorrow, I'll start masking for the green camo areas.

Camera battery ran outta charge last night before I couldn’t post more pics. :headbang: Got lazy to recharge camera as well. Oh well.... I might as well paint the red band on the cowl before taking pics. :bag:

Paint is on and Camo scheme is done!! Gloss clearcoat already applied and decals are next once it's dried and cured.

Disregard the finger smudge on bottom side of fuselege. D-Day invasion stripe decals is going to cover it anyway. Usually I prefer to paint my own invasion stripes but I wasn't in the mood to deal with creating equal widths of each stripe. I'm hoping I could tone the white down a bit by weathering or paint over it once it's sealed down with flat clearcoat.

Undersides. I used Tamiya weathering powders before realizing I should have waited for decals first. :headbang: Oh well... I know I sort of overdid it with weathering but it is what it is. Lesson learned. :bag:

Looks really good! I like that camo and I've always loved the profile of the Hellcat.
Thanks,
John
