Sorry to hear you didn't place Mike, but that doesn't say anything about the quality of your builds, they're superb - I wish I could build to your level. Anyway, you might not have got 1st, 2nd or 3rd but whilst those guys have been in lockdown polishing their builds you've been out saving lives - so you come in way over them in my book.
Thanks for sharing the photos - it was interesting to see some British stuff there. The Tornado was nice and that Royal Navy Wessex was amazing!

Re: Model Mania 2021
Lots of great pics. Love the Beverly Hillbillies jalopy and the North American X-15. I’ve been looking for that X-15 kit for years. Never could find one. I do recall a B-52 kit that came with the X-15 mounted under the wing.
Any large IPMS shows are going to be tough to place. You made an effort though.
I question the accuracy of the F-18 with folded wings and flaps in down position. I never see images of flaps in down position while wings are folded up.
As far as the canopy-less A-10 Thunderbolt, it’s a drone. Yes, there is such a thing. Hasegawa has a kit of it.

Now if the A-10 Thunderbolt “drone” is designated and assigned in the Hypothetical Category, the IPMS judges dropped the ballon that one. That should be in the Aircraft Catagory.
The F-18 Hornet as a drone? No such thing. It’s a cool mock up though.

Re: Model Mania 2021
I think you posted in the wrong thread as this is last years show thread. The A-10 drone is not real and so it's in the correct category.

Re: Model Mania 2021
I wonder if that is for real, or is it a photoshop job?

Re: Model Mania 2021
It's a photoshop job. It's not real at all. They wouldn't eliminate the cockpit for a drone. Just like the QF-4E and the QF-16's, they can't remove the cockpit cause it's needed to make them manned.
