Koster/Monogram XP-72
Re: Koster/Monogram XP-72
Sorry John, I thought I'd replied to this yesterday. Excellent work on this conversion, it's certainly an unusual but purposeful looking beast - looking forward to seeing how it ends up.

Awesome - that looks really good in black.
I saw a P-47D in flight yesterday, a really rare sight over here.

There must be an air show nearby. It's been years since I've been to an air show. I've always wanted to go to few in the U.K. ... Duxford, etc...

Re: Koster/Monogram XP-72
A rare sight anywhere. There are far fewer airworthy P-47s flying today than P-51s. I don’t believe that the USAF Heritage Flight, akin to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, but spanning a longer timespan, flies a P-47. But they do have a Mustang or two.Stuart wrote:I saw a P-47D in flight yesterday, a really rare sight over here.

Here's what's going on in the UK this weekend. If you go on YouTube, you can see a lot of the action.
