Interesting to hear that the Tamiya Lacquer paints are giving problems with tip dry for you guys. So far I have had no such similar problems with them when airbrushing.
It doesn't happen often with me but I've had it happen on occasion.

Thanks Carlos. I guess the tip drying was to be expected with light grey and spraying at 40 psi and the nozzle closed almost all the way down
I was trying to get as tight of an overspay affect as I could. painting the the underside color last can be a challenge...

Nice work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle!

Moving on to some less fun stuff.. I noticed yesterday that one gear strut had the wheel axle broken off, so I had to replace it. My hand held lathe came in handy for making the new axle

I don't know if you said, but what gloss are you using? I've never gotten that kinda gloss.

I'm using Tamiya TS-13 Rattle Can Clear. I warmed up the can in hot water before spraying. Can should feel very warm in your hand before spraying -- almost like a hand warmer. It was a bit chilly in the work shop as well so I warmed up the fuselage with a hair drying right before spraying -- first time I ever did that but I think it actually did help.
