Starting a modelling club?

Post by Ceaser_Sa1ad »

Hello all
Where I live there isn't a local hobby shop (as lots of us face), nor is there a local club of the sorts aside from Model Railroad. So I thought, well heck if no one else will do it. Why not me?
I thought of perhaps contacting my public library to help host the physical meetings but I don't actually know how to start a club or gain attention in my area. So I ask you fellows, if you have any experience in that degree, I would like to hear it.
Cheers!

Lots of leg work. Flyers all around, etc. I’d contact IPMS and see what they can offer. Are you within a drive to the Buffalo area? Perhaps a club there could help. Not having a hobby shop near makes it tough.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Reach out on social media and see how many modelers are in your area, then suggest a meet up somewhere. A local library or eatery of some sort is a good starting place.
