Too bad that joint goes right through those flaps Carlos! Well, stuff like that is baked in with these old kit right? At least it does not have 3 or 4 bad fitting access panelsStikpusher wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 12:31 pm Well, yesterday after my last update, I had a little free time left in the afternoon, so I glued the wings on to the fuselage
Not too bad a fit, but on the bottom there is a pronounced step and gap
I will have to deal with the step & gap next week when I resume work on this next week...

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build
Chris, I don't think there is any right way to do it but it wasn't too bad with the floats on, other than being careful to not knock off the tip floats. Here are a couple of near finished pictures. I want to finish up the Kubota tractor so it can be in the final photos with the Rufe, and I want to weather up the floats with some pond scum.

Well done!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Well done John ! Looks like it's ready to go harass PT boats in the slot!

Thanks, everyone for all the nice comments. Still have the A6M3 type 22, A6M5, A6M7, and A6M8 to go in 1/48.

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build
Do you have all the A6M5 sub variants… A, B, and C?
