Oh yeah… I’m all over the Dual Mustang kit. Lots of great decal choices to choose from. :lashed: :lashed: The Wild Cards 109s I’d grab if they were 1/48 scale.

Fantastic stuff for May!

The Mustang combo does look nice... as do all the new detail accessories for P-51s. The 1/48 Weekend D-Day Spitfire IX is VERY tempting... but does every Mk.IX have to be in Johnny Johnson's markings? :hmm:

Heh… you noticed that too. I agree, it is overused.

LOL I agree, it's almost as bad as VF-84 markings on a Tomcat! (Which, I hasten to add, my Tamiya kit will be painted in  )

Nah, at least there are variables in F-14 VF-84 markings… from early to late paint schemes, plus different aircraft numbers. But yes, there are other very attractive F-14 schemes out there besides VF-84. I really like VF-1 and VF-111 myself. VF-41 was pretty sharp as well.

I’ve always liked the Sundowners and Pukin’ Dogs scheme. Jolly Rogers gets over used. Great scheme but overused.

The Tomcat looks good wearing anything! Always liked the look of VF-2, another popularly modeled squadron.
Thanks,

I'm not a fan of the Jolly Rogers schemes. It WAY overdone. But I agree with Stik, I love the VF-1 and VF-2 markings. There's a lot of cool markings.

I agree in that there isn't a bad scheme on a Tomcat, it's a Tomcat....

But I do agree with Carlos - the Johnny Johnson mk.IX is a really dull choice!
