Persistence paid off and I found the missing piece... one of them. Had to literally pull everything in this corner out and do a deep careful sweep.

After a 1/2 hour playing paleontologist looking for this particular key part...

Yeah, she's a tiny bugger.

And it goes here...

This is where I'm at now. She is looking like a Pucara

Congrats on the successful hunting expedition. Funny, my wife found my missing p-51b quarter window I lost months ago just the other day while helping me look for another part.
Pucara is looking good!!
Thanks,
John

BTW… that corner was put back after I did the clean sweep. A bit of removing cobwebs and such, too.

woohoo - well done finding the part Tom. It's looking really good!

I've actually seen a Pucara at the Fleet Air Arm museum, it's a big aircraft from what I recall.

Congratulations! She is looking good, Tom.

NIce work on an aircraft that is totally unfamiliar to me! And great find on the missing part. I'm always pinging things off into abyss. Even with the short industrial carpet, some things never turn up. UNTIL after the build is complete, of course! :headbang: :giggles:

Gunship Grey is on...

Image

Cold Grey underside already applied a couple days ago. Mig of Jiminez ATOM now is a bitch to work with. Goes on thick in cup, thinner added afterwards. For some reason, it the thickness of the paint doesn't thin out even though I'm using their thinner.

It seems to remain thick at the mouth at the bottom of the cup to siphon out when airbrushing. Maybe next time I should mix paint / thinner ratio in a separate jar of sorts to mix thoroughly then pour it in the cup for airbrushing. I don't know.

Has anyone airbrushed using Mig of Jiminez paint brand before? Maybe I'm missing something.
