Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4, Revell 1/32

Post by AIRFIXER »

We already had this one on SPAM 1.0, but since it's Messerschmitt Mania here we go again. ;)

Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 "White 13" JG11, Revell 1/32

Image
Image
My "Kurfuerst" was modeled on a picture I found in JaPo's "Messerschmitt Bf 109K, camouflage & marking".
Image
My K-4 features a fair amount of AM stuff: Eagle Parts K-4 cockpit, prop spinner, oil cooler, ETC rack, Aires exhaust stacks and wheel wells and some PE from Eduard including seat belts.
Image
Image
Finished in RLM 75/83/76 colours. The way of colour distribution and application is typical of K-4 of
W.Nr. 334xxx/335xxx batches.
Image
Crosses and digits are airbrushed using custom-plotted paint masks.
Stencils/svastika applied as decals (Kagero/Propagteam).
Image
Image
The Erla canopy's framing was scratchbuilt using Everfreen profiles.
Image
Unpainted wing undersides except for wing tips and rudders/flaps (RLM 76) based on photographic evidence authenticating such practice.

A must-have for every gallery. Thanks for putting it back in.

I'm a sucker for a well built 109 and this one is one for the books bud! Good stuff. Never knew 109's had bare metal bottom side wing panels......................till now!
