My 4 days off work is now at an end and progress has been made on the 'Schmitt! This has been my first foray into the world of photo-etch, which although very fiddly and frustrating, brings rewarding results, so here goes...

First to the larger and without doubt the easier part of the PE on this set, the control panel...

Next was the lever block, which although only containing one part PE, took a lot of patience, as I kept dropping the levers, one of which I never found...

Image

Then to take on the seatbelts, again very fiddly, but was actually much easier than it looked!

Image

Now it was time to get the pilot's pit complete...

Next up was to get the rest of the cockpit done...

Although not finished, I have got plenty of it done and haven't got much more to do on this part of the build, which I look forward to finishing on Thursday! I'm pleased with how my first experience of PE has been, I have certainly learned a lot!

So until next time

Man, you are hitting this out of the park! Nice job with the PE.

That's an amazing looking cockpit. Looks like I can sit right down and start flippin' switches!

Thanks guys, it's certainly the most detailed cockpit I've ever done!
